Diversity and Inclusion

Would your organisation like to explore the 'why', 'what' and 'how' to move forward in creating organisational cultures that are diverse and inclusive? Your organisational questions might be around diversity in the areas of culture, gender, age, other dimensions, or the intersectionality of a range of these differences. I would love to work with you to create spaces for conversation and feedback, provide some coaching for leaders with responsibilities in this area, and also to develop fit for purpose plans that will help your organisation make some small but significant steps in some of these complex areas.

Are you approaching a season of strategic refreshment as your current plan needs updating? Would you like to develop a clear strategic plan for the first time? Is the last time you looked at your strategic plan a few years ago when you did a one off strategic planning session and you have not really used the plan since then?

I offer coaching and facilitation to support YOU and YOUR ORGANISATION to create a strategic plan that is ideally useful for both management and governance to steer organisational growth in a meaningful and accountable manner.

My support could include:

  • Analysis of current strategic documents and situation for your organisatio

  • Information gathering from staff and stakeholders to feed into the strategic process

  • Facilitation of one day workshops with board and staff members

  • Working with CEO’s and Board chairs to create a relatable strategic plan for the organisation

  • Advice to integrate the strategic plan into organisational practice so that strategic thinking underpins organisational behaviour and decisions

One of the major responsibilities for governance boards is to appoint the key leader for the organisation. For many boards, particularly those made up of mainly volunteers, this responsibility can be very demanding for a specific season.

I can provide support services to your governance board, that may include:

  • Facilitating discussion and reflection around what the organisation is looking for from a leadership appointment

  • Assistance to write or refresh the job description

  • Advertising the role and dealing with enquiries and applications

  • Facilitating the short-listing, interview and reference checking process

  • Advice in the appointment and induction process for a new senior leader

Animoa loves bringing learning to life and encourages all to bring their life to their learning. She is experienced in creating engaging, meaningful, fun, and inclusive learning opportunities.  She can create contextual studies for individuals or small groups, dynamic one day workshops, or can speak with small and large groups.

This one day workshop creates an opportunity for reflection and discussion, all while completing a small flax woven item.  Participants will go away having completed a small weaving project and Animoa facilitates opportunities for conversation and reflection based on the metaphor of weaving (raranga). 

This one day workshop is designed for people who are new to this country to introduce them to some of the culture and context of Aotearoa.  It includes an introduction to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and some of the aspirations for understanding both tangata whenua (people of the land) and tangata tiriti (people who have come to live in New Zealand) in today’s society. The workshop will occur in different places of interest around a city and organisations are encouraged to send both new migrants as well as people who are passionate about having inclusive workplaces, who will be able to continue on the conversation and learning into their specific organisational context.  Currently this workshop can occur in Auckland or Wellington and can be offered when there is sufficient interest.

This can be offered in either a half-day or full-day format.  It can be tailored to suit your small group or organisational needs.
